Welcome to the Aiken College and Career High School web page. Thank you for visiting. I am Karen Barrett, the School Community Coordinator. I can be reached at any time at 363-6719.

At Aiken College and Career we put a high priority on parents’ and community members’ participation in the programs of our school. Last school year when many other schools were eliminating the School Community Coordinator position from their budgets, Mr. Thomas, our Principal, added the position to the Aiken College and Career budget. This proves his level of commitment to involving parents and community members in our school.

Our Parent Teacher Organization and Local School Decision Making Committee both meet on the 4 th Monday of the month. The LSDMC meets at 6:00 PM and the PTO at 7:00 PM. Both of those meetings are open to anyone who would like to attend.

We are grateful to those who are currently participating in these groups and ask that you please join us as we explore innovative and fun projects to further school, parent, and community member interaction. Much of our success depends on YOU.

Sincerely,

Karen Barrett
